David Cameron's 'Big Society' as a concept, has been over shadowed by our financial crisis & the chronic lack of jobs for young people. Add these two problems together, and sprinkle in the fact that parents have slowly had their powers to control their own children taken away - and the riots were the inevitable outcome, right?!

The UK riots have been a wake up call to us all. We ignore the underlying reasons at our own peril.

To add insult to injury, the X Factor has taken the name of a charity, that helps young vulnerable people through the power of music, and sticks it on one of their 'thrown together' girl groups, and we, the people, are supposed to tune in every week and vote for one of those 'fame hungry, wannabe pop icon's' all the way to the coveted Xmas No. 1 spot?!
